Taxes
We must look at
our spending priorities, cut waste and abuse and eliminate
duplication in government services. I will support Governor Dave
Heineman’s efforts to cut state spending and provide meaningful,
long term tax relief.
Education
Local control of our schools is a vital element to educating our
children. I will work in the legislature to remove our school
districts from the Learning Community and assure that we receive
the fair funding we deserve.
Immigration
We are a nation of
immigrants and legal immigration is a great source of
strength for our country and state. Illegal immigration is just
the opposite – it taxes our resources, placing increased burden
on our hospitals, schools and law enforcement agencies. We should
never encourage or reward illegal behavior.
